Anxiety

Anxiety is an emotion that we all experience, and is in fact part of being human. However, some of us can manage our anxious feelings while it interferes in optimal functioning of others who find it unmanageable. Anxiety can be characterized by excessive fears, behavioral disturbances, distorted cognitions, thoughts accompanied by several physical symptoms like shortness of breath, heart pounding or palpitation, dizziness and many more. (DSM-V)
There are various types of anxiety disorders like specific phobias, social anxiety disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, Panic disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Substance or Medication induced Anxiety Disorders.
